Diets & Weight loss
The only real proven way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you consume. It’s relatively simple when you break it down like that, but basically the formula follows as such, “calories in versus calories out.” There’s very little, if any, wiggle room around that assertion. Even with a multibillion dollar industry trying to convince people otherwise, the latest research has shown that in general, diets simply do not work. And this is not distinguishing any diets from another, it’s across the board. You can lose up to 5 to 10% of your body weight by following pretty much any fad diet out there, but almost everyone gains that weight back. Matter of fact, “dieting” itself is one of the best predictors of future weight gains. This one study showed that 50% of the dieters weighed more than 11 lbs. over their staring weight, 5 years after starting the diet. Out of all the numerous studies I read on the wide variety of fad diets out there, I came to the same conclusion. The bottom line is you have to change your habits and lifestyle. Therefore, the format which you choose to follow doesn’t make much difference; the real difference maker is dependant on daily habits, which manifest into a lifestyle!!!
